Backstage of The bookthief sceneSometimes, it may seem we are on hiatus when not posting anything new for longer periods, but the truth is somewhere else... we are actually working hard on preparing a new content for you. (Besides what this article is about, let me tell you a secret: we are also working very hard on a redesign of the website with a professional studio... and we are sooo happy about it!)

For the upcoming tutorial of Stefan, where he created a specific scene called "The Bookthief," we met over the weekend and did this photoshoot: Stefan (his stage photo is not published, but it will be... soon! It's really worth it!), Lucas (security guard reading mag), Ivan (security guard who just spotted the thief), Ninka (cleaning lady, who got pushed by running thief) and me - Matus (the running thief).

Last weekend, we managed to have some photoshoot out of the photo studio, in our apartment. Yep, quite messy and not really perfect for the lighting conditions, but we could do the job we needed to. Setting up lighting was done in kinda "redneck" style, but in the end we reached the desired effect perfectly ;)

Big Boss had it under control.

Yep. This actually happened, too.

The bleish image on the screen in the back is the actual scene for our upcoming tutorial.

Lucas, the caring policeman.

So this is it. We might not use the top class equipment, but considering we will use all Photoshop postproduction tools, this is just what we needed ;) Did you like it? Or do you have an idea on what we should do next? Let us know in the comments area ;)

UPDATE:

This is the sneak peek and how the scene looks like ;) Tutorial in progress!
