I am trying to set up an office exterior render, i ll post an image in progress. I need some lighting on the ceilings, a generic office lighting would do, but it shouldnt be heavy. I am thinking about setting up a map for it, do you have any suggestion for a nice and quick solution for this?

I imagine something like this:

But it can be also much simplier, it doesnt need to have a material, I rather need advice on how to make and emissive transparency layer the material.

Thank you,

How about making a ceiling with black dots as a texture (it doesn't even need to be transparent) and then setting up planar lights grid under it, facing upwards to illuminate the areas as in the ref image?
