Description
Eames lounge chair and ottoman - instantly recognizable quintessence of modern classic. These pieces live in museums like MOMA in New York and in stylish interiors around the world. It is a must-have for every design enthusiast. When the set was introduced in 1956, there was nothing else like it. Quick and easy to assemble, curvy shells made of molded veneers. Its comfortable upholstery explain its enduring popularity. Like all classics, the chair and ottoman just get better with age. The back braces and bases are die-cast aluminum with built-in swivel mechanism. The endangered Brazilian rosewood used on the original chair was replaced with sustainable palisander. Like every design milestone, even this piece has its own story: Charles and Ray Eames made the lounge chair and ottoman as a gift for their friend Billy Wilder, the director of "Some Like It Hot" and it was a luxurious exception of their aim to design both mass-produced and affordable furniture. We paid special attention to physical properties of the actual materials - how it creases, reflects etc. which will make even high-resolution renderings look professional and persuasive. You won’t find more realistic 3D model of this design icon anywhere else and it will definitely add some class into your visualizations.
