FlyingArchitecture Emotion 2020 Wrapup
FlyingArchitecture Emotion - Back to the roots workshop is over now and I took a few days off to get recovered and to spend some valuable time with the family. Now I'm back to wrap up a few thoughts from this event to get you a quick overview from the experience.
Great group of people met here to learn how to approach an architectural visualization with Matus (founder of FlyingArchitecture). All of us - Matthew, Robert, Petra, Sonia, Camilla, Julia, David, Thomas, Johann, Ferran and Matus (all in the picture from the left), formed a great team and fought together for better tomorrows ;)
... and not to forget, we also had a "workshop kitty."
Hotel itself was a very nice & modern place. It's called a "River View Residence." Having a terrace and 2 jacuzzis (1 on the terrace and the other one on the rooftop!) Students got not only a place to focus on work, but also to relax a bit from their work, studies, or other duties back at home. All in all they had an amazing time (as they claim!) and felt more on a holiday than a regular workshop. In addition to that, the venue is located in the very city center, just a few steps from Bratislava castle, so we could take a nice walk whenever needed.
The terrace views over the Danube river were just spectacular and we couldn't get enough of it.

I believe the venue itself was amazing, but it wasn't the best of the workshop, what was happening inside during the day was more enriching and enjoyable!

I have to say we worked almost 24/7 - since we booked the entire hotel for the venue and accommodation, we were able to stay as long as needed, with no need to travel back and forth... Who would enjoy commuting, if they can sit and develop skills instead, right? :)
During 4 days we managed to discuss some basic and adv information on optimizing scene in Rhino and V-Ray, V-Ray materials, Lighting for exterior scenes and mainly the postproduction part. Here are some of the results we managed to finish:

... and here's our workshop kitty dreaming of chasing the render buckets in VfB after a hard day full of... well... chasing our necklaces, straps, cables... I believe you know it well :)
I would like to additionally send a big THANK YOU to all who participated and managed to come to Bratislava. I believe you enjoyed this event and hopefully - see you in the future :)
