Uncovered vol.2 Rome Impressions

Hi all, I just came back from an amazing trip to Rome, where FlyingArchitecture was giving a lecture under an organization of artc.it.

During these 3 days, we mastered Rhinoceros, V-Ray for Rhino and Photoshop, as a practice scene we picked a forest house scene I prepared a few weeks before the workshop. This time, we started with a bit less participants than we got used to, however I have to admit, It was really amazing due to the amount of time we were able to dedicate to each of our students.

As a support, Giancarlo di Marco was there for the whole time, in case we needed a Rhino and V-Ray professional speaking Italian :)

Giancarlo giving his insight on V-Ray materials, in Italian, obviously. It was great to have an italian support who could interrupt from time to time and explain some specific features of V-Ray.

Materials creation expained.

Images were really nice and unique, our students did their best to produce really amazing visualizations :)

BTW: why wouldn't these images be so nice with such a great coffee every morning?! Thanks guys for showing me the best of the best of Rome!

And here are some impressions from night Rome sightseeing tour:

Late evening streets are such an amazing source of inspiration! Gotta get back soon to see it also during a day :)

Pick me up at Vatican. What a monumental views everywhere!

To sum it up: We had such an amazing time in Rome! Morning espressos and cakes, mid-day pasta and cakes and late evening pizzas... and cakes! That's definitely something for me ;)

Thank You all so much!!!

3D printed concrete architecture

We had several opportunities to work on visualizations for the projects involving 3D printed buildings. One of them was The Tent, a building meant as a refugee shelter that is quickly erected after a major natural disaster in China.

The switch

Recently, we have decided to limit our support for the store with 3D assets and instead fully focus on what we love to do – creating striking architectural visualizations.

The nature of FlyingArchitecture revealed

We are excited about this transformation and believe that it will enable us to better showcase and present our capabilities, to show the customers what we really do and provide even greater value to them.

Realtime walkthrough: Lake Cabin, part 3

Terrain sculpting tools in UE4 provide a very smooth experience and with addition of alpha brushes you can get pretty realistic detail. However sculpting large-scale believable terrains is a time consuming process and you need a keen eye for how the terrain is formed in the real world.
