Description

Set of 3 highly detailed 3D Birch trees - hand modeled and comes in 3 options - for more information, check out the previews.

Files included:

- 3dm file format (Rhinoceros 5) + V-Ray 3.60.04 materials + Proxy

- 3dm file format (Rhinoceros 6) + V-Ray Next Upd2 materials + Proxy

- 3dm file format (Rhinoceros 7) + V-Ray 5 materials + Proxy

- All necessary textures

- General OBJ exported from Blender

Real world size: Approximately 14m for the highest tree.

Model is very heavy, so it is highly recommended to turn the tree into a Proxy and then make it a Block for significant performance boost. For this purpose, we included such scene ready for Rhino and V-Ray.

House model with it's interiors is not included, but can be purchased separately as a fully furnished 3D scene here.

This used to work for me. But now for some reason no matter what I do none of the materials show up when I render the model. Any idea on how I can fix that?

Hey, it's always a good idea to check Asset manager, if all textures are correctly loaded. Did you manage to fix this issue?

Hi, I have Rhino 6 + Vray 3.6. I also have a problem that if I import proxy into my scene there are no maps. All the materials just have random colors. I do not know where to load the textures that come in the folder. I tried to add leaves to the diffuse map, but it is not mapped correctly. Any advice, please?

Hey, just to say, that I have found a way around it - if I open the rhino file and create the vray proxy myself out of the mapped tree object, then I can use it in other scenes and the textures are correct.

Hello, yes unfortunately, Vray 3.6 has some bugs concerning proxies and block instances in general and using them outside R5, or any other computer is painful; it is an issue caused by latest 3.6 patch which was sadly never resolved by Chaos group and frankly it is causing severe problems even in our workflow. Thanks for the insight however ;) Hopefully we will be moving soon to Vray 5 and R7 which should eliminate most problems.
